House Industries announces Fall/Winter 2013 Uncle Goose Block Collection
A highly detailed set of fifty faithfully-represented United States and a whimsically-patterned artful ensemble of custom-drawn House Industries alphabetical elements anchor a colorful collection of wooden toy blocks for 2013’s Fall/Winter season.
The United States of America blocks feature handy facts about each state with embossed and printed details in a complimentarily muted color palette. Meanwhile bold hues and eye-catching patterns highlight House Industries’ world renowned number- and letter-forms in their new Big and Tall block set.
All Uncle Goose wooden toys are made in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA from replenishable wood products and are printed with non-toxic inks.
Other new releases from House Industries and Uncle Goose include the Counting Koi, Kokeshi Blocks, Love Heart Blocks and the House Factory. Combined with the classic Eames House Blocks, Alexander Girard Alphabet blocks, Neutraface Slab Blocks and Photo-Lettering blocks, the House Industries for Uncle Goose collection provides thoughtful consumers with sustainable, practical and beautiful purchasing options.
“These new collections underline the effectiveness of our design partnership with House Industries,” said Uncle Goose owner Pete Bultman. “House challenges our production processes and makes it fun to come to the shop every day.”
The House Industries block collections are available directly from Uncle Goose and from fine toy retailers throughout the world.

About Uncle Goose
Founded in 1983, Uncle Goose exists in an era of smart phones, tablets and video games, yet it chooses to step back more than 100 years to make wooden alphabet, decorative and other specialty wooden blocks by hand from its facility in Grand Rapids, Mich. Simple, creative, old-fashioned (and maybe a little quirky), the essence of Uncle Goose can be found in its love of learning, design, and creativity.
